About Liam Mccormick Pulling in influences such as Jason Mraz, Howie Day, Damien Rice and Bright Eyes, Liam is able to achieve a perfect blend of mature acoustic music and timeless lyrics that lead you to believe he is much older than he appears. Born in the secluded foothills of Calaveras County, 19 year old McCormick used music as a way to escape the quiet life, and as he grew so did his music. "I grew up listening to basically everything, and I guess that’s why my music has a lot of different influential sounds to it," states Liam. After playing in a few bands in high school, Liam ventured into college and realized that he needed to go solo. So he set up a small studio in his dorm room and recorded his first full length album, "Dorm Room Recordings." The release of his album sparked immediate sales, as he captivated audiences with his performances. "Liam just knows how to say what you've always wanted to say, but didn't know how to put it. His blend of Acoustic guitar and occasional high falsetto voice set him in the same musical category as some of my favorite major artists," states fan Jennifer Commen, "this is probably why he has sold so many (over 400) of his independently made CD's in the short time he has been performing".
